Playboy has released a collection of NFTs.
Let me just say that again… Playboy has released a collection of NFTs.
That’s right, you can now own ‘Rabbitars’, Playboy’s very own bunny-themed collection of 11,953 NFTs commemorating the founding of Playboy back in 1953.
Why would you want one? Well… Not only will you be able to boast and brag about owning one of the coveted Playboy Rabbitars, but they will also unlock quite a few doors, allowing you access to Playboy merchandise, artwork, special members-only events, and more.
Along with the release of these Rabbitars, Playboy has launched a Discord server, dubbed “The Rabbit Hole” aiming to provide more interconnection and involvement with the NFT community.
What more can they do, right? Well apparently, they can also hold weekly podcasts featuring popular personalities within the NFT community.
All that aside, let’s get back to the Rabbitars. These NFTs have been produced with variations focusing on their attire, ears, fur, facial features, and much more, displaying a consistent loyalty to the Playboy brand throughout.
Are there any special Rabbitars? Well, I’m glad you asked, because there is!
There are a few rare Rabbitars that have been developed on the ideas of Playboy’s art as well as their very own editorial history, so don’t be surprised if you see these going for a fair whack more on the NFT market!
With more and more companies bringing out their very own NFT collections, this latest release by Playboy will surely help to bolster the enormous wave of adoption in the crypto space, and bring further credibility to the idea that cryptocurrencies, the blockchain, and NFTs are an alternative to the monetary systems that we’ve been used to for centuries now.
I may have to have a proper look at these Rabbitars and grab myself a funky looking bunny!
