A collection of photos featuring Donald Trump signing the bare chest of a woman that has previously been described as an “Ivanka lookalike” is on sale as an NFT for a whopping 240ETH.
The photos were taken before the Trump presidency, and are available as a set on the OpenSea NFT platform. The buyer of the NFT will get a large scale 1/1 print of the photograph as well as a high-resolution version.
These images of Trump were acquired by Creatd from Bob Guccione’s creditors. Guccione is an artist, photographer, and is also the CEO of General Media. This is the first time that Creatd has made these historic photographs available for sale, and co-CEO Laurie Weisberg had this to say:
These pictures represent an opportunity to inspire conversation, and debate perspectives, from sharing light hearted wisecracks to ardent political judgments. On a broader level, today’s release furthers the Creatd team’s vision, to continue exploring the NFT space and capitalize on the economic opportunities it can foster for the creator community.
Jeremy Frommer, also co-CEO of Creatd also stated:
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the Trump photographs are no exception. We have waited a long time to sell these priceless images which were captured decades before they took on the significance and symbolism they hold today.
When the company made this announcement, Creatd’s share value rose sharply by 30%.
The Donald Trump NFT is only the second NFT drop, but it’s already creating waves throughout the NFT space, and personally I’m interested to see what else they have in their photo albums waiting to be brought to light in the form of NFTs.
Co-CEO Laurie Weisberg also said:
the Trump NFT will help the company continue exploring the NFT space and capitalize on the economic opportunities it can foster for the creator community.
